Original Third Reich Personality Autograph letter
from the Nuremberg Trial October 1946. WALTHER Funk (1890-1960) German
Economist, Reich Minister for Economic Affairs 1938-45. At the Nuremberg
Trials Funk was tried and convicted as a major war criminal and
sentenced to life imprisonment (and released on the grounds of ill
health in 1957). The letter reads, Cell 41 (Nuremberg), 1st October
1946, to an unidentified recipient, in German. Writing in bold pencil
Funk states, in full, 'I request a discussion with my counsel, Dr.
Fritz Sauter'. With two typed annotations at the foot of the
