The bike was well delivered today (Chas Mortimer called me yesterday
afternoon), it looks really great! I can't barely wait for the weekend for
the first ride!
I would like to thank you once again for the support and the top notch
service you provided these last weeks! Many thanks!
Just dropping you a line to thank you for your swift and efficient handling
of the sale of my Mk2 Zephyr.
You sold it to me ten years ago and after all those years of trouble-free
and enjoyable classic motoring you were the logical choice to help me when I
decided that now was the time to hand it on to the next caring owner. Within
a fortnight of you collecting the car from my house the money was in the
bank; great service, thank you.
I have just purchased
a classic motorcycle from Adrian at Spinning Wheel. As I live 200
miles away I agreed to buy the bike, put down a small deposit, subject to me
being 100% happy with it when it arrived and I could see it "in the flesh".
I was not disappointed and didn't hesitate to pay the balance. If I had not
been happy the bike would be returned and my deposit refunded in full.
Dealing with Adrian over the phone was an easy and pleasant experience and I
knew exactly what the "deal" entailed. Delivery was spot on too and I
appreciated Brian's advice upon delivery.
Thanks for bike delivery, all good and happy
Could you possibly find out what 2 stroke oil is in the tank from previous
Thanks very much for selling my two cars for me. From the
collection of the cars, up until the sale, I was kept informed and
everything was handled in a totally professional manner. I now have
experienced both buying and selling cars with you, and have been delighted
on both counts. Many thanks once again.
Recently purchased a Classic Motorcycle from
Spinning Wheel Classics. The bike was bought blind and I was not
disappointed. Adrian was very helpful and the transaction was easy.
Would recommend Spinning Wheel Classics for your next purchase.
Adrian we arrived home safely this morning and we are delighted with the
car. It performed brilliantly and we averaged 33mpg. We hope your hand is
getting better and even though things didn't go to plan it was a pleasure to
meet and deal with you and your staff. I will send any business I can your
Thank you for your good service, collecting and selling the Trident so
quickly. The money landed in my bank account yesterday. I always keep an eye
on your website, and there may be something else in future, I may either
want to buy or sell.
Fintail arrived in London safely
Many thanks for selling the Rover P3 75 for me, the dealings I have had with
you have been exemplary, and I would have no hesitation in recommending you
Bike transported and received without a hitch. Started and ran OK but then I
took it for a spin and found it wouldn't pull above 5,000. Changed plugs
(Now 9's not 8's) and cleaned out the float bowls, main and pilot jets. The
Main jets were quite heavily corroded but I had some more 118's so fitted
them. Now pulling like a train. So much nicer to ride than my Jota with good
power all the way through. Love it!
To say I am happy with the bike would be an understatement. Absolutely
Thank you so much and do keep in touch if you ever come across something
similar. I tend to concentrate on the 80's and 90's Italian Superbikes,
although I do also have a 1995 Triumph Daytona Super III which is also
Great to do business with you.
Funds safely received. The document is now posted to you.
Thank you so much for your excellent professional services. We have enjoyed
working with you in this and are most grateful.
Ian Morris Minor
|Just to say I found
your service trust worthy, reliable and true to your word. I hope the buyer
of my Jaguar has many a happy hour enjoying the classic car that it is.
Hope to do business with you again in the future.
Best wishes, Karl
Thanks for the set of keys! They went to my work address so only just got
them as I've been away for a week.
Been meaning to message and say very happy with the Datsun. Its in with my
mechanic having a big service, but the car is in such nice condition it is
more of a formality than essential work.
As I said this car will be in my family for a long time and will be
cherished. I will be keeping it in original condition, as it is too good to
start on a restoration, there is something very charming about a car that
has survived and is still so full of character. I will be replacing and
upgrading items on the mechanicals and engine and running gear as and when
necessary to ensure the car runs great and may replace carpets etc like for
like and will re-bolster the drivers chair but it is such a great vehicle I
will mostly leave as it is.
Thank you again for pleasant trouble free transaction.
With so much going on Health wise in my life at the moment I
cannot tell you how appreciative I am about how you have bent over backwards
to try and help me onto 2 wheels.
Please feel free to use this as a testimonial.
With sincere best wishes
I'm sure you will be pleased to know that I got back to the Isle of Man
It has been a pleasure doing business with you. I thought the car was well
described and fairly priced. Moreover, your recommissioning seems to be
absolutely spot on. It starts on the button and merrily trundles along all
day with a glorious V8 sound track. I began to get anxious in a long traffic
queue for fear of over-heating but although the gauge inevitably rose a bit
there was no drama. The brakes worked strongly and the steering was light
and precise. Most importantly, my 'better half' is very impressed.
ERIBA purchased and delivered in an immaculate condition at a good price. We
were very pleased.
I hope you like the Harley. It will make a great display piece.
I have to say that Brian who brought the bike down is a real Gem. He spent
real time and effort in explaining the workings of the bike.
In fact his knowledge and enthusiasm is so great that it was fascinating,
almost like have a chat with Guy Martin. He does great credit to Spinning
One day, probably next year, I would love to pay you a visit and negotiate
the purchase of a classic car from your good selves. I might be leaving
myself open to ridicule here, but I quite fancy an early to mid 1960s Rootes
model. Perhaps you would be kind enough to let me know when you get one.
With best regards
just a special thank you to you and your wife and the team for giving me a
warm welcome and taking the time to show me around all the lovely stock you
have. And without doubt I will purchase another vehicle from you when the
time is right thank you once again
Just a note thank you and your team for making the acquisition of the little
Panda such a fun experience. The run home (double the distance the car has
covered since May 2013) was enjoyable and uneventful, and I look forward to
fun days of closer acquaintance.
I have already discovered that the car actually needs three keys to operate
all the locks and ignition, leaving just one over! My past close association
with Fiat UK's Press Garage should produce sufficient spares, as well as
another handbook. Typically Fiat, this one covers every conceivable Panda
variation, 4x4, diesel, even van etc. but no Selecta! Luckily I bought a
Haynes manual years ago which deals with Selecta.
My thanks again for putting a bigger grin on my face.
Regards, Patrick R-M
I would just like to mention that Brian and Karen, who delivered the
motorbike, were extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Could you
thank Brian, on my behalf, for his help in dealing with all the paper work.
Dear Adrian and Gail
Another wonderful buy from the stable of Spinning Wheel. The Z3 is a joy to
behold and what timing for roof down motoring just as the sun started
shining. You would never know it is nearly 20 years old and despite its
classic potential this will be an everyday use car for us. Automatic fun fun
fun in the sun sun sun!
Thanks once again Adrian it's such a great pleasure to deal with you and
Pete and Karen
Firstly I'd like to apologise for the delay in contacting you but I missed
the postman yesterday and have just managed to retrieve my watch from the
delivery office this afternoon! However it was worth the wait! I'm very
happy with my watch and it looks great on my wrist. I'd like to thank you
for being so prompt with the sending and being flexible, efficient and
honest! It is indeed, a very fine timepiece. I'll keep an eye on your
website in future to see if anything else takes my interest.
All the very Best,
Thanks for all your help and support. The car
has driven well and is wonderful. The file makes interesting reading too.
Quite an archive!
Hope your hospital visit went OK
|Mini One, a true
Well Adrian you have done it again! The 2005 Mini One D I bought from you a
few weeks ago has brought a real smile to my face because it is everything
you said it would be, and then some. Like all the other cars I have had from
you over the years, I bought it without as much as seeing it and, as I told
you when we first spoke about the car, I had never even sat in one before,
let alone driven one. As always, your description was absolutely spot on,
although as usual you under-described it a bit. Both Wendy and I really
enjoy driving it, and from my point of view it makes a change from some of
the more classic luxury vehicles I have had from you in the past. But, of
course, in my garage I also have the lovely X308 Jaguar that came from
Spinning Wheel when I feel like a change!
Once again, thank you for your honesty, cheerfulness and patience. I cannot
recommend Spinning Wheel highly enough.
|We would like to
thank you for the excellent service we have had from you. We are delighted
with the Buick, It is exactly as you described it. Hope to do business with
you again in the future.
John and Margaret
Just a quick line to thank you for selling my two cars
As you know, over the last few years we have had several dealings with
yourself , both buying and selling classic cars. I must say that I have
always found you very easy to deal with because of your friendly manner. We
found you very fair and it goes without saying, extremely knowledgeable
about classic cars, and sell excellent quality vehicles.
I would recommend Spinning Wheel to anyone either buying or selling a car,
all they have to do is pick up the phone and talk to you.
Rest assured any future classic car needs I will contact you.
Tom and Christine Co. Durham
Thank you Adrian for your service and
received the parts and fuel tank today. I am very happy and your service is
commendable. Kind regards and will recommend you highly.
Just to say how sorry I am about the brakes
on the zephyr, I will take this opportunity to say how much I have enjoyed
dealing with yourself and spinning wheel, I will gladly recommend you to any
of my friends.
Dear Adrian and Gail
Once again thank you for providing a superb vehicle in the Mercedes 200t
1984. Just as described (as usual) it was delivered with your usual
attention to detail. Fantastically presented it truly represents
stunning value for money and I can't wait to open her up on the open road.
I will keep on saying it till i'm blue in the face, if you ever want to own
a classic vehicle with the total confidence that it's right and true just
come to Spinning Wheel and you'll be well served and looked after.
Pete - Nottingham
Many thanks, and many thanks for the 'extra'
I just wanted to say what a delight it was to
meet you and purchase my Pacific Coast. It was a pleasure to deal with a
true gent and someone who genuinely wants to deliver customer satisfaction.
The bike is running like a dream just wish the weather would do it's bit to
enhance the experience. I really must find time to call in and have a look
around again but work waits for no man. I have told anyone who will listen
about your establishment in the hope some of them will visit you and have a
good experience as I did.
p.s. can you let me have details of the yellow avenger for Howard I sent him
a pic he was drooling over it.
Just wanted to say a big thank you for the little flintlock which arrived
safely today. I'm very pleased with it. It's a nice little thing which slots
perfectly into my small collection.
Another great deal from the Spinning Wheel. (very poetic!)
Best regards, Robin
Taken delivery of the Suzuki super six and what a lovely bike, runs as good
as she looks, really delighted with the bike. also give my thanks to Brian
who delivered the bike, arrived on time as promised. Brian brought the bike
over, was here for a hour and a half going through everything to do with the
bike and documentation, really went to town and explained everything to me,
can't thank Him enough, he was brilliant, if you are thinking of purchasing
a classic car or bike can recommend spinning wheel classics they did
everything they promised to do regarding the purchase, thanks once again to
Adrian and Brian.
Kind regard. Terry.
Thanks for Report; well presented and reads well!
A note for your web-site....'very happy with the attentive service and
Maybe see you on Thursday sometime,
For what seems like a lifetime I have hung my nose
over the S7 and dreamt of owning one. I knew even mentioning it you was a
bit of a long shot. However due to your resourcefulness and attention to
customer service I took my delivery of the "dream machine" on Friday.
Anybody who wants to own a classic , whether its a car or a bike, would be
very hard pushed to find a better dealer than Adrian and Gail at Spinning
Lovely car, 1st time I’ve been able to see clearly underneath, looks more
like under 22 months old rather than 22 years, everything tight, clean &
perfect, obviously flew through the MOT with no advisories and everybody at
the garage I use very impressed.
Many thanks for all your kind attention.
Very pleased with the
Its a weird colour and lumbers around like a Labrador Dog.
Happy to say I have never met a car dealer (Classic or otherwise) that is
better to do business with.
Genuine cars - Nice People.
Just a quick note to let you know that my
jewelry arrived safely yesterday morning. I love all the items that we
ordered and i am looking forward to wearing it all. I especially wanted to
thank you for the gift that you enclosed, it is as beautiful as it looked on
Many thanks for the bike as swiftly delivered by Brian yesterday. It was
exactly as described which does make a pleasant change! Thanks once again.
Thank you Adrian for supplying me with the
Orange BMW R60/7 . The bike is as described over the phone and web pics did
not lie . It is reassuring to find a company that operates in a trustworthy
manner and with integrity in this day and age , doing exactly what was
agreed and delivering it to Cambridge on time almost to the minute.. Would
recommend spinning wheel classics without a second thought
Thanks for the excellent service for the purchase of the Stuart Taylor
Loxflow very pleased with the car, nothing was too much trouble. Phil and
Adrian fitted the car to me so i could drive in comfort, also thanks to all
the family and to Gail for the coffee when it was very cold, brilliant
regards Ray L.
Many thanks again for the exchange of the two bikes for the 1960 Bonneville
and the safe delivery by Brian, always a pleasure to do business with you
best wishes to all your team.
Just a quick note to say how pleased I am
with the Star Twin. I have made a few adjustments once I arrived home with
it to improve the braking as part of the running in process and the bike is
running beautifully. The bike attracts a crowd wherever I park it, from the
old guy that tells me the tale of when he owned one back in the day to those
less knowledgeable who just stop to look and comment on what a lovely
machine it is. And to top it off, it won best 1950's bike today at the 42nd
Nottinghamshire Classic Car & Bike Show at Thoresby Hall; how good is that!
Many thanks and hope to see you again soon.
Just had a chance to get out
in the A30 and she is absolutely lovely to drive. Gets a lot of attention
and I seem to have met neighbours that I never knew existed as everyone
wants to stop and chat.
RE WR09CWK Suzuki Hayabusa
I just wanted to say thank you for the smooth completion of the sale and the
bike is as described though I am e mailing you to ask a favour.
Hi Adrian, I received a massive cheque the
other day & don’t know what to do with it ?
It was from the Suzuki Tax, I had written that off not expecting anything
This is just to let you know the DVLA system does work !!!!
The Crossfire is sitting on the drive looking pretty, planning to put it on
the road first week in may, after our hols.
Hope all is good with you ?
Almost forgot, the cheque was for £9:66 WOW !!!!!!!!
Better in my pocket than the Government Ha Ha.
Thank you for the delivery of the Masons ironstone
bowl, It arrived safely,
We are very pleased
it was like a magic-carpet ride home, and the car shrinks around you
on country lanes.
Much as I loved the Merc, driving this straight after makes you realise how
nobody does ride/handling better than Jag.
However there has been a gremlin already. The bonnet catch doesn't
work. Pulls through 90 degrees, and nothing happens. Hopefully it will be
easy to fix.
I was going to take it to the garage to have the rear tyres changed
anyway. At the mo there's one Pirelli and one A.N Other on the rear
axle; I will change for two of the same A.N.Others.

Hello Adrian and Team,
I've received the cheque for £1700 today. I am very pleased with the sale
and your involvement with it - many thanks.
I will keep a regular check on your website, as always, and look forward to
seeing you again,
Thank you again
What a nice man Tim is, he got the car here safe and sound, I was just
concerned about what time he would get home?
I had a good look at the Crossfire on Saturday and sorted a couple of
things, as you do !!!
We have decided to register it SORN for now and maybe put it on the road
after our holidays in April, maybe the beginning of May?
I trust the Suzuki didn’t disappoint you and hope it goes to a good home?
Hope to meet up with you some time?

At last i have my bike. My son in-law and myself went to the transport
warehouse to pick it up.
Well i thought the old guys would turn there heads to see it ,but the
youngsters just at the docks loved it. On the way back with it in the
trailer truck drivers bus drivers all admired it.
Well i can see i will have to keep a eye on it when i do have it on the
Adrian thanks for your help i am glad that i found this bike, most of all i
am glad it was from you.
I will have to pop in and see you, when i come over later this year
All the best.
|I'd like to
finally say thanks so much for getting the car ready for us in time for
Christmas especially at only three days notice before hand! It was an
absolute pleasure to be welcomed when first viewing the car, especially
after having traveled all the way from London and discussing any concerns
was an up front and refreshingly open process that alot of car dealers seem
to have forgotten to do these days!
One month on and I am delighted with the car and am looking forward for the
weather to improve so I can treat the paintwork to a full clay bar and
detail. I've also invested in some fully tailored seat covers to keep the
car in the immaculate condition in which I purchased it from you.
I would be happy to recommend you and the garage to anyone thinking about
making a long journey like I did to view a car. It was the best choice I
made after having viewed plenty of awful cars and garages closer to home.
Just finally I was also wondering if the invoice/paperwork for the service
items had come through from Vw yet? if you could forward those over that
would be great!
I just received my package today. The Princess Mary tin is just beautiful!
Also the bullet pencil, card, and her picture are very unique indeed. This
will make a great display here and is a great remembrance of all those who
fought and gave their lives in WW1. Thank you for packing this so securely
as all the items made it here safely.
Thank you again Adrian!
Happy New Year!
This is just to thank
you both for your hospitality today. We enjoyed our visit very much. Lovely
coffee and cakes and beautiful cars. I am thrilled to bits with my pieces of
vintage jewellery. Unfortunately I have almost completed my Xmas shopping or
I would have purchased a few more pieces as they would make wonderful
Christmas presents. Still never mind, we will certainly consider this for

you know Brian delivered the Norton this morning & I'm very pleased. She
looks just as I expected (a little oily rag). Adrian, many thanks for
sorting out the mag, lets hope that it has a long life, Brian has explained
to me an issue with the carb, we'll see how she performs on the open road
when I get a chance to get her out.
Once again thanks & thanks to Brian, his wealth of knowledge is priceless.
Adrian, I just wanted to say thank you for making my 4th

The professionalism and hospitality show by you and Gail is the reason I

way it deserves!
Once again many thanks and see you again soon.

I'm really happy with it. Please also pass my thanks onto Brian. His
customer care was first-class.
Thanks again - perhaps we will speak in the future.
With best and kind regards,
Brian arrived with the bike and all the documentation. Fantastic machine -
shame about the weather. Brian was extremely helpful giving me plenty of
info about the bike. Thanks again.
Just a few lines to say that the SLK 230
lives up to expectations
Hard to believe that this is car number ten from the spinning wheel
Where on earth has twenty two years gone. Anyway retirement
Next month top down blonde in the passenger seat life gets no better.
All the best mate
Good Afternoon Adrian
Whilst early days and I have not had a chance to use the bike, I would like
to thank you for the smooth purchase and delivery of the 400F yesterday.
In this day and age it was great to do business with someone who was not
pushy, straight forward and friendly, no wonder you have built up a solid
reputation. Such a contrast to most of the dealings I have with other firms
on a day to day basis.
The icing on the cake for me was the delivery by Brian. Friendly,
knowledgeable and professional, he took the time to pass on many pearls of
wisdom on owning a classic bike which made me feel quite comfortable. So
many times deliveries seem to be a matter of “drop and run”, but Brian was a
real ambassador for you. Please pass on my thanks to him.
Just need some warmer weather to give the 400F a run out.
No doubt we shall meet again as I intend to call in with my wife next time
we are in your vicinity, if only for a cup of tea.
Thank you for delivering my two wonderful toys on Monday night. Just to let
you know that I will wait until the nasty weather goes away before
uncovering the BSA but its safe and warm where it is In the meanwhile I have
ordered a new bulb for the horn.
I have the clock ticking away at the top of the stairs and it sounds lovely
. i will give it a good wax soon and it will look really good. Once they are
set up well they just sit there ticking and soon become part of the home.
Batten down the hatches over the next few days and speak soon.
Pete and Karen
Just to let you know that i am very pleased with the aircraft clock and the
T T race replica. Now i understand all the workings and settings of the
clock its running great and keeping excellent time. another nice timepiece
for my collection. I want to do more research about ernie thomas and his
racing career i must check trough my old race programmes to see what
circuits he raced at and see if mortons archives have any photographs.
Thanks for making me so welcomed and showing me around your wonderful

my visit. Thank you and very much appreciated. I will be keeping an eye on
your website and please do let me know if anything of my interests turn up

Hello Adrian just a line all is well, and
Gail is on her way home, hope you enjoy your small gift* Sandra is very
happy with the painting* and I thought Gail was very charming. Many thanks
till next time. John & Sandra.
Hi Adrian, Well the
car arrived safely thank you very much, she's a peach. and just as you
described. Hope bikes arrived ok ,Tim did say he was having trouble with his
van. He did not get here till 8pm so time we off loaded and reloaded it
was10pm, so we felt sorry for him and gave him a bed. what a nice man he is.
Hello Adrian, Hope all is well.
I wanted to let you know I finally picked up the bike today and it is now
resting at home. See pic attached.
The bike went through 3 Canada Customs exams, 1 in Montreal for contraband
material, 1 for VIN # check in Toronto and another for soil sample in
Toronto. Lol. I couldn’t believe it! Paid a little extra for the inspection
fees also. The crate was fantastic and well done. I see no damage on
the bike at first glance. I would like to Thank you again for all your
efforts in making this happen. I really appreciate your trust and honesty!
All the best to you and yours! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
I was hoping to put virtual pen to paper before now, but, as usual,
I've been away alot. Just to say that you've sold me a few good cars
over the past few years, but this really is something else. This is my
fourth XJ-based saloon now, and easily the best. I know I'm biased, but, for
the aspects about a car that matter to me, I can't think of any real
progress in engineering anyone's made in the past 45 years. This becomes
clear when you sit in such an example, and take it out for a drive.
Aesthetically, it seems all they've learned how to make is four-wheeled
domestic appliances. Even Jags ride poorly these days, at least compared
with this. OK, so the modern ones might be a bit faster, but that's all
hypothetical in real life. How many modern cars can lay claim to an engine
with direct ascendence to a 5-time Le Mans winner? Truly sublime, this
Daimler Sovereign Series 1 4.2. Walking into my garage is now like a time

Happy Christmas to you and your family, and all the best for
Thank you Adrian.
Morning Adrian, after a long drive, Clarence Irene and myself arrived home
at 9pm last night.
I am delighted with the purchase of my Bianchi and will send some photos to
you once I get new retro tyres fitted. The computer has already been taken
off. Amazingly this is the first bike I have had that I have not had oil
from head to toe on me. It is so clean!!!!
I will put it on the turbo later this afternoon and get it set to my own
Oddly enough, as we were travelling back up the road yesterday, I received a
text from L'erocica Brittania vintage cycle event clarifying that I am
indeed guaranteed entry to the event in the Peak District in June 2014. It
must have been meant as I now have a suitable bike for the fun challenge!
Can I just thank you for the deal and accommodating me so much. It is
appreciated very much.
Just inquiring about the the log book, do I need to do anything, or are you
sending it off, I didn't seem to get the slip, for being the new owner and
just got previous owner, I have got a photo copy blank page for it should I
fill that out and send it off, I just don't want DVLA breathing down my
neck, you know what they can be like. I have given it a little run out not
far, with my dad in the side car he really enjoyed it, said it brought back
memories, in fact every body that seen it thought it was great and it
brought back memories of their youth we had a good three hours out, just
around the town and we only broke down once, Don't worry it was only a loose
wire, had use both scratching our heads though :) . I think it will need a
few more short runs just to shake it down and get acquainted with its
peculiar habits, (its not a bike and its not a car ) its both, the name is a
giveaway I suppose. Sunday will be my brothers turn for a spin, weather
permitting .Thanks Adrian for helping one of my dreams come true (a strange
dream it may be ).
All the very best to you
“I bought my (mimosa yellow) 1975 Triumph Stag manual o/d from Adrian at
Spinning Wheel in July this year. Adrian, you kindly stored the car for me
for the best part of a month until I could take possession. The description
of the car (excellent condition, solid bodywork, detailed history etc) was
exactly the case and the few blemishes were honestly represented. My friend
who has had his Stag for 31 years (yes 31!) and knows a thing or two about
them reckons it’s a good one, as do others who know their classic cars.
Given our great summer the car has been used regularly and has now covered
just short of an extra 1,000 miles (North Yorkshire is a big area!). It has
performed really well throughout and is proving to be totally reliable. The
only issues to date have been the need to replace a worn overdrive switch
and rear light bulb and holder. Both easily sourced.
In addition to the car being exactly what I had hoped for at a very fair
price, at least as important to me is the degree of service and confidence
in buying that you provide to your customers. Obviously you are in business
to sell cars and bikes and make a profit, but you go out of your way to help
your customers and to provide a first rate service. Your reputation means
that good vehicles find you and in turn you provide your customers with the
reassurance that they are getting good quality products. This is especially
important when buying something mechanical that is 30-40-50 years old or
So, to any potential buyers I can happily recommend Spinning Wheel and
Adrian and his dad’s business to you. He and his team will provide you with
great products and service. Just remember though that you need to do your
research and be sure that you want a classic vehicle as that is your choice
and yours alone. Personally, I have no regrets but then I knew what I was
looking for – and I saw both trade and private Stags that failed to match
the quality and price offered by Spinning Wheel. Many thanks Adrian and all
the very best to you and your business.”
Dear Gail and Adrian,
Thanks for your very kind hospitality today and the lovely deal on the
sticks. They already look great in my collection. I have to say it was a
pleasure to visit your new shop on such a grey and miserable day. It was so
very welcoming and full of lovely things. I really enjoyed my visit and I
think you have it just right in terms of content and appearance and your
friendly welcome adds to the ambience. Coffee and pie were great as many
place I visit just don't do that. So at last a proper antique shop to visit
run by enthusiastic people - well done!
Many thanks for sorting things out, I'm Looking forward to getting the car.
I'm certain I will be seeing you in the future, maybe a TR6 or something
exotic, if I can persuade the wife.
Thanks again for the good experience.

Hello Adrian and Gail.
Just to say thanks for your wonderful hospitality on my first visit to your
set up. I was quite taken with all the bikes and though I was only "window
shopping" you gave me your full attention. When the time comes and the
inevitable happens with the closure at work I know where to come.
I enjoyed the lengthy chat with you over coffee and biscuits. I will be
back, next time for some cake.
I have attached an old pic. from circa.1970 and a new one .
I will be looking for the old "bonnie" in the near future.
Many thanks for sorting things out, I'm Looking forward to getting the car.
I'm certain I will be seeing you in the future, maybe a TR6 or something
exotic, if I can persuade the wife.
Thanks again for the good experience.
Best regards Richard
the bike is here :-)))
Looks very good. We were very pleased.
Thanks also for the documents.
Have a tip about certain mixture and oil ......
Is there anything else to consider?
For the next time we need to improve the delivery (faster)
Thanks again & sunny greetings
Just a quick note of thanks for being so accommodating over weekend, and
really please with the Bike, so big thanks...
Let me know if you ever get around to selling that Trials Sidecar, I've got
lovely B40 I could bolt it to !!....
If you get down to Cornwall then please give us a shout !!..
Thanks for the email, I have now had the XJS valeted and it now exceeds my
pre-conceived expectations. I haven't been able to drive it more than a
dozen or so miles as yet, but certainly hope to get out on the road for a
decent run soon. The valet job was sorted in a couple of hours and has just
made a 'silk purse' into a 'golden one'. I paid the chap for the valet but
didn't bother with an invoice and am happy to bear that cost myself.
The exquisite baton arrived today. SAFELY. I'm very pleased and found the
entire experience (after the bank business) enjoyable and informative. If
you come across another such item, inform me, please. With every good wish,
Just a note to say thankyou for all your help with the recent purchase of my
1600E Cortina. You made everything so easy and the delivery was just as you
described. I found dealing with the Spinning Wheel friendly and relaxing and
your commitment to detail second to none and how purchasing a car should be
conducted, I would have no hesitation in purchasing from you again. I would
be certainly recommending you to any one who is in the market for a classic
I have now had the bike a few weeks and am really pleased with it. It is
really nice to ride and although I am used to modern bikes it does not feel
like a 38 year old bike to ride. Than you again for the buying experience as
I was apprehensive about buying such an old bike but everything went very
smoothly. It was good to have someone deliver the bike who was so

Hi Adrian, got back no problems - thanks for all your help yesterday :)
Just wondered if you know if she needs lead replacement treatment in the
fuel, or if shes fine on unleaded??
Just to let you know that the Landie made it back no problem to Nantwich -
ran like a dream the whole way. Hot work on this lovely day, but great fun!
The temp gauge packed up within a mile, but she never missed a beat and that
was the only issue.
Many thanks for having her well prepared
I may almost be on the racing line (purely by accident). Hadn't realised how
well my leathers match the bike until I saw this picture.
CRMC Snetterton race of the year meeting last
weekend. Qualified and finished every race I was entered for.
Thanks for your comments,i am so pleased you like the carriage, be sure to
treat her like the old lady that she is. The little moggie is a belter, she
is loved by all the family, including the dogs. On Saturday my wife and I
went for a trip out in the moggie and were held up by some kids on skate
boards on the road, as we passed slowly by one of them shouted "hello old
lady", Kate turned to me and said "I am not sure if they're talking to me or
the car", I kept my mouth tightly shut! If you ever need any help with
carriage matters I will do my best to help, I do hope we can have another
deal sometime in the future,
Just a quick note to let you now the pistol arrived safely today, and to say
that I am delighted with it.
This is a real quality piece at a sensible price and fits into my small
collection perfectly. Thank you for a great item and a friendly and
professional service. Long may you prosper.
Best regards, Robin.
be honest the couple of little things have given me a great excuse to
"tinker" and get my Haynes manual out!! My overall experience of buying the
car has been great, I found you open and honest about the car and very
straight forward to deal with. The car is exactly as described and in
amazing condition given it is over 40 years old. Delivery happened as you
said it would and the car arrived as planned. If I find myself in the
position of looking for another old car you would probably be my first port
Just a short note to inform that the Car arrived safely in Guernsey last
week. The Sun even made a surprise appearance this weekend allowing me to
drive it at last - everything appears to be in ‘ship’ shape! When we first
spoke I joked that I was a little sceptical about all of the great
testimonials on your site but having flown over to meet you and seen the
car, I can state that my skepticism was totally unfounded and I find myself
joining the happy Group! Your descriptions on e mail and the telephone were
very accurate and you delivered on your undertaking to fix the small issues
identified in the engineer’s report which helped enormously. Thank you for
your assistance in securing my first classic car purchase which has brought
back many happy memories of way back when - I am looking forward to
experience them again. No doubt I will be faced with large bills also but
such is the price of pleasure! You never know, in time I might be back to
Spinning Wheel to dip again …..
Thank you once again and best regards
I have not been back to UK since February and am still in China until
August, I just want to thank you and your Dad for the exemplary service in
assisting with the log book application with regards to the Porsche Carerra
2 I purchased from you. I still check your web site on a daily basis to
check what gems you have available. I also advise other guys working with me
whom are interested in cars and bikes to check your site. Who knows, they
may call you, you have many outstanding bikes and cars available. I see you
have a Yamaha 250U for sale, I have a 250 U and a W along with my 250K, 250L
and 250S. I note you advise the U has the later front forks, which is
correct. the U is a special model, a lot of one year only parts on a U
model. The calipers are from a later model also are also from a later model,
a period modification. If you need copies of parts books I have many for
Yamaha race bikes. You are welcome to any copies you need. Please, it was
not my intention to critisise your advert, I think your site is great,
please send my regards to your Dad, he made Maria my Wife most welcome as
did yourself at the time of the purchase of the Porsche.
We will definately be back for more treasures.
I've owned my Alfetta GTV 2.0 about a year now and thought I'd give you a
quick update. It's still running great you'll be pleased to hear and I've
hardly had to do anything to it except for a few problems with the clutch
last summer (now sorted). I sold the old wheels quite easily, re-fitted the
original gearknob and bought a set of mats to protect the carpet but apart
from that it's pretty much how it was when I bought it from you. I still
love driving it and it generates quite a bit of interest from passers-by who
know what it is, used to own an Alfasud, tell me not to take it out in the
rain because it will rust away... ha ha etc etc. Anyway I'm still really
glad I bought it, definitely a dream come true! Done about 1,800 miles in
the last 12 months which isn't bad considering the awful weather last
summer, including a trip to Newby Hall near Ripon for the National Alfa Day
Anyway just thought I'd let you know how we're doing; hope this is of
interest to you. Best regards B V
Hi Adrian, we got
the TR6 into Australia just before Christmas. All arrived safe and sound and
the car flew through its inspection and safety check. All we had to do was
have inertia reel seat belts fitted.
Thank you for your excellent service, the MG is superb, totally delighted, I
would have not hesitation in recommending Spinning Wheel to anyone looking
for a quality classic car.
Just to let you know that the bayonet has arrived, amazing condition for its

Hello Adrian ok for all , now I want buy in the future one Silver Shadow!
(Rolls Royce Silver Spirit One)
Just a short note to thank you for the outstanding service that I have
received. My recent transactions both as a buyer and seller have been
absolutely faultless. Both vehicles that I have bought from you have been
exactly as described, in fact I would say under described in that they were
in better condition than the photographs showed. The whole process of the
sale was easy , pleasant and fun , communications superb and the delivery
service second to none. I would recommend you highly to anyone and will most
definitely come back to Spinning Wheel for my next vehicle change. You are
one of life’s true gentlemen. Thanks again . Roger N
I always wanted a nice Triumph Tiger Cub. When I saw the one on you web-site
just before Christmas I felt that it was time to go ahead. Few weeks later
that lovely little 1959 Tiger Cub arrived at my home in Hamburg. I was most
delighted to see that its condition is exactly as you described it to me.
Let me say that I am absolutely content with the purchase and your service.
Thank you and kind regards
N.B.: The papers arrived this
morning. It is great that also the original log book was still with the
quick note to say Robert arrived ok in his transporter with my Jaguar XJS on
the back, I did note some of my neighbors came out to take an envious look
at the shining green paint and bright chrome work, the car looks really
fantastic. And thank goodness my wife likes it.Thanks again Adrian for your
honest service I would not hesitate to tell my friends to purchase from you
as I am sure I will be doing so .
Very Best Regards
Dear Sy and Adrian,
The Orange R90S arrived all ok in Australia. Bike was detailed nicely and
packed well. Thank you.
Hi Adrian. Just to let you know i took the
bike out today and introduced her to the mountains and lochs. she loved it
we did 90 miles. traffic was heavy we saw at least 10 cars. she is lovely.
and got well admired and even had her picture taken out side a coffee shop.
Thanks mate she is great. Regards Mike.
Hi Adrian, got the bike ok thanks, looks real
good. Hope Jamie got back safely. long drive up and back in one day. Thanks
again. Best Regards mike
little line to say thank you for the goldwing i recently purchased off you.
a superb machine and a joy to ride. and a special thank you for the prompt
attention to the small radiator problem that developed, and without quibble.
i am happy to
recommend you to anyone who will listen.
best regards and ride
Just wanted to say many thanks for the great service I received during the
purchase of my Alfa GTV.
The car looks fantastic on its new wheels and tyres that you fitted and the
new rear seatbelts mean that our nine year old can travel safely in the
back. In fact the whole car was beautifully presented, it's a good job it's
tucked away in its garage as I can't stop looking at it!
We got the car home safely and without a hitch on Saturday and then I
couldn't help but take it out on Sunday again to show it off, during which
time it ran faultlessly again. I am now looking forward to many more happy
miles spent behind the wheel and would not hesitate to deal with you again
or recommend you to others. It was great to deal with a genuine enthusiast
rather than a salesman and the extra little touches were really appreciated,
such as picking us up from the train station and your efforts to get the car
taxed on a Saturday afternoon. It is so rare to get that sort of good old
fashioned service these days which made it all the more welcome.
Thank you for the
excellent service I experienced when purchasing my MGB Roadster at the
Spinning Wheel recently.
I had been searching for some time for a suitable example at the right price
and had travelled considerable distances to see cars described as "rust free
and immaculate" that were anything but. Calling into your dealership on an
off chance, I was lucky enough to see two good examples of MGB and you spent
a good half morning showing me around them. It was this aspect of care and
attention to detail that really impressed. There was no hard sell. Your
obvious personal enthusiasm for cars (and a whole range of other items that
we chatted about) shone through. I was able to test drive unhurried and even
get the vehicle up on a ramp to thoroughly look it over.
Having decided to purchase, the after sales care continued to impress. The
car was delivered to my home in a covered trailer and when a minor fault was
discovered you dealt with it for me swiftly and professionally. The
difference between a family run business and a main dealership was plain to
see. The little personal touches making all the difference.
I'm sure that most people who buy cars from a dealer would agree, that the
most important things they look for are value for money and honesty and
integrity from the dealer. Not only did you display those in abundance but
your friendly, cheerful and patient character made the buying of my
beautiful car that much better an experience.
Many many thanks,
We have now had William for a week and we would like to let you know how
pleased we are with our new addition to the family. As you know, the drive
home went beautifully despite the only "sensible" option being the M1/M42 -
William performed faultlessly and cruised along at 60 - 70 mph without any
We would like to express our thanks for the fantastic service you gave us -
everything happened like you said it would and nothing was too much trouble.
You gave us a totally pain-free buying experience and we would heartily
recommend you to anyone wishing to buy a classic car or motorcycle (or fire
engine!). We hope that, at some point in the future, we get the opportunity
to do business with you again.
Many thanks and best wishes
Bill and Debbie
PS. If you ever trip over a Gordon Keeble in your travels, I've always
fancied one. Funnily enough, we got overtaken by one, on the M42, when we
were driving back from you which is the first time I have ever seen one
other than at a show.
Despite picking the worst weather day possible to pick up the MZ, I’m happy
to say that it didn’t miss a beat on the way back to the ferry. I’m very
pleased with the bike and it certainly was ready to eat up the miles as your
ad said. Thanks also for showing me the rest of your treasures, they were
all superb. I’d like to have taken a few more bikes back, and some of those
beautiful firearms too.
All the best for now.
just a quick thank you for all your help and honesty purchasing a Morris
pick up for my husband, as you I told you I know nothing about vans but with
your help I had the confidence to go ahead and buy it as a surprise he was
really pleased with the pickup and said he could not have done better. Once
again thank you very much.
I just want to thank you for selling the MGB Roadster for me. It was a
pleasure dealing with you and I hope the new owner is a very satisfied

Hi Adrian. Just a quick note to say that
the Triumph TR6 arrived today safe and sound and looks superb. Every inch a
classic roadster that's been prepared and presented to your very high
standards. Fantastic. Margaret and I are looking forward to some sunny days
"hopefully" so we can enjoy this lovely car. Once again many thanks to you
and your team.

Adrian. Where do I
This is the 4th car that I have purchased from you and I have never been
disappointed. My most resent purchase the 1973 3500s P6 is fantastic. It is
an absolute dream to drive, the condition of this 1973 P6 is brilliant and
is a further testiment to your total commitment to quality. If you read
this, then it is a honest statement to this fantastic company, Spinning
If its your first purchase, then do /not hesitate to spend your money with
Adrian's company. You will not regret it and more so you will really enjoy
I have at last got out in the MG and I have to say we had a great drive in
her today and she drives really well. So thanks very much for your efforts
in preparing the car and then delivering it to my house.
All the best
Tickled pink (or yellow?!) with Peugeot sign. Just arrived. Thank you.
Amazing cos it can be hung for a double whammy dose! Of Peugeot if required!
Hi Adrian. You will be pleased to know I made it home safely. Weather was
not too clever from Worcester onward but i managed to miss the worst of it.
Feel a bit battered today as the Laverda is certainly not a touring bike! I
had to pull in at Clay cross motorbikes as i could not get the filler cap
off. It had jammed on and the nice chaps found some large mole grips. The
same thing happened at every refill so eventually I ditched it for a petrol
station special. Apart from that hiccup, the journey was uneventful. Bike
rides well. Very stiff but planted. Rides like a 90's bike and engine needs
working like you said, but this makes the bike more engaging. Nothing
happening below 4 thousand and then it builds speed rather than takes off.
Feels a bit like an old 900ss without the low down torque and better
handling. You do have to use the gearbox, even on the motorway and top is
like an overdrive. Everything appears to work even after a good soaking.
Lucia (as she will be known) is truly beautiful in the flesh and we are
bonding well. Can't wait for a sunny spring day.
Thanks for selling her to me.
Best wishes.Paul Torquay
Just a quick note to say how very pleased Sandie and I are with the Rover P4
we bought off you in the Summer. I remember when I first phoned you and,
almost in desperation, said I was fed up with going around looking at
rubbish and wanted to visit a dealer with a stock of good quality cars. I
wasn't to be disappointed. "Archie" as the P4 has been named is a delight to
own and drive. Yes, I've made one or two changes to the car but these were
of my own choice and were not necessary. I guess that's part of the pleasure
of owning an old car; being able to improve it to one's taste. If ever we
tire of Archie and decide to replace him or even decide to add to our stable
we'll certainly be making Spinning Wheel Classics our first port of call.
Started Georg after a bit of a struggle yesterday. Again today, this time
it was a bit easier and took him for a short (20miles) gentle canter, as
befits his (and mine) age.
Stopped the engine and re-started a few times for the practice. Moderate
improvement! Same with putting him on his centre stand. I'll get there
He rides very nicely, almost like a new bike and is a real credit to George
and yourselves for looking after him so well. Following my experience and
listening to your description of the R 50, I would have no hesitation in
recommending Spinning Wheel to anyone looking for a classic bike or car and
further, would look to yourselves first, should I decide to buy another
Thanks for everything (just don't forget the keys!),
Hi Adrian, just to let you know how happy I am with this lovely car. I
can't understand how undervalued they are by the market. For God's sake,
it's 41 years old, and it still goes, stops, corners, and is as comfortable
as anything they churn out today, but with so much more charm, elegance and
presence; not to mention that wicked woofle from the exhaust. Or is that no
longer required or desired in an object which, on average, costs several
years savings? Anyhow, despite the best efforts of H.M. Government, long may
business continue. And please don't sell that Ascot Fawn Daimler Sovereign
without letting me know first.
I just wanted to let you know that the split screen VW pick up I purchased
from you recently is performing well and giving a great deal of pleasure. It
is much admired wherever it goes, and regarded as the coolest thing ever!
by my niece and two young nephews. No doubt it will be required for the
Junior Proms before too long. There have been no problems to date, and I
have not had so much driving fun for years.
Just as promised on purchase day, I am dropping you a note to let you know
what i think of my recent new classic
I have been lucky enough to have owned in the last ten years four Capri's
and have got to be straight to the point on this one.
This is a superb car, the best Capri I have owned.
Great deal, super history file.
why spend hours trawling the net, driving up and down the country viewing
We hope that we find you well and apologise for leaving it so long in
writing to thank you once again for the excellent service and for the time
and attention given to our latest purchase by both you and your father. The
XJS Convertible has been well received by not only myself but also Heather
who has driven it more than i have so far !!! and by Sam our nine year old
cocker spaniel who is happy to sit in the back with the top down with his
ears flapping in the wind as the V12 purrs its way effortlessly along. As
far as we can see this model is underrated model that lasted three decades
and not only great value but also a pleasure to drive. This is not the first
car purchased from yourself and we know that it will not be the last. The
kindness shown by your family only matches your enthusiasm to preserve the
heritage of great cars and motorbikes of the past.
I look forward to popping in soon to see you, that is when i am able to
get Heather to let me have the car for an hour ???
Had the P6 for a couple of weeks now and covered around 500 miles. Have to
confess to a degree of trepidation on the way up to collect it, as I was
buying a 37 year old car that I had not driven. My fears proved groundless
the moment I drove away from your premises; the car does, as you said, drive
extremely well and I enjoyed every minute of the 240 mile drive home (except
the queue for the Dartford Tunnel). You may remember saying that you thought
the recorded mileage was genuine but couldn't say for sure. Quite frankly,
if it has been clocked it was wound the wrong way; it drives as I would
expect with half the mileage shown.
The fast idle speed turned out to be a broken return spring, and when I got
home there was petrol leaking from the pump where the diaphragm had
perished. Both minor problems which were easilly fixed. Neither dampened my
enthusiasm for the car, and I actually quite enjoy a bit of tinkering.
I am delighted with the car, and should I decide to add further to the
collection (sadly, not very likely) you will be my first port of call.
Just dropping you a line to say thanks for your excellent service, and how
pleased I am with the BMW. It is better than I could have hoped for and
although I had to ride home in the rain it was washed the same day.
Friday I spent cleaning and polishing and now it looks as good as ever. It
really is a credit to its last owners.
Just a quick question, what oil did you use for the change and did you use a
new filter? No problem if not as I will make sure I change it next time.
To be picked up from the station in a Triumph Stag was the icing on the
cake, and I would be happy for this letter to be added to your increasing
large list of testimonials.
We arrived without any problem except a big
traffic jam near London (4 hours in the traffic!).
The spit run very well and she's very
Please find attached some pictures of the

I'd just like to say
how delighted i am with the ford pop. Hopefully we can do business again in
Robert arrived here with TSM 668 at about 11.30 this morning and I must say
how delighted I was with her. Everything is as you said it would be and I'm
very pleased indeed. If the rain had kept off I'd have taken her for a spin,
but their will be pleny of time for that!I hope HXS 577H goes to a good
Many thanks again.
Having bought blind from Spinning Wheel before, I was confident that my
latest purchase - an MGA Coupe - would not disappoint. In fact, it exceeds
my expectations. Flawless. All I have to do now is stay supple enough to get
in and out with dignity!
Just wanted to say that on Sunday my son and I travelled to a Classic Car
show at Moffat - a round trip of around 65 miles - in the old girl. She
never missed a beat and kept up with traffic very well indeed. In fact, she
was one of the best Minors on show!
Again, I have to say I'm delighted with her!
Many thanks again
Coat arrived. Great service.
Will visit soon

Just wanted to say thanks a lot for your help with my purchase and loading
for transporting the BSA B31: your help was much appreciated. I am grateful
for your honest appraisal of the bike and for the many photos you sent me.
It was a pleasure doing business with you, and I'm looking forward to some
sunny days riding the B31 around Northumberland.
Hi Adrian just to say very pleased with the
van delivered yesterday along with the hillman for Ted, as always a pleasure
doing business with you and look forward to speaking in near future two
excellent vehicles again thanks again Tony &Ted.
Sorry to be a bit late sending you a note, but just to let you know how
delighted we are with the MGB roadster. A big thank you for all your help
and sorting out any queries we have had. We have no hesitation in
recommending you to anyone who is planning to buy a classic vehicle. We are
fortunate to have a company like yourselves who are not too far away, and
are happy to offer any help or advice on 'good old-fashioned motoring'
All the best and thank you again from Chris and Peter
A happy customer with his Jaguar 240
Just a few words to say thank you for arranging such an easy transaction
with my recent purchase of the BMW Z3M.
Sandy and I just love this car and we do appreciate the extra care which you
took with the final preparation.
I guess that we must have been dealing with Spinning Wheel for about 8 years
now and I still find it a pleasure in this day and age to be able to
negotiate face to face and then secure a trustworthy deal by the shaking of
We look forward to a continuation of this for many years to come.
Pete and Sandy
The X1/9 arrived safe and sound late yesterday afternoon and looks very nice
as described. I've driven a short distance and everything seems to work OK
other than a loose connection somewhere in the radio/speakers. Also, I
haven't yet worked out what the added switch between the driver's seat and
the handbrake is for! Any ideas?
I hope the Peugeot is to your satisfaction. I showed Rob, the transporter,
the car with the hood up and down, so he will confirm that the mechanism all
works OK. I've been charging the battery recently and had to reset the clock
as a result, but I hope that being disconnected hasn't affected anything
Just to let you know that the MGA is living up to our expectations. Looks
superb in my garage. And even better on the road. A real head turner! I'm
making minor adjustments to controls and tuning as I get used to it. Any
sign of the CD with all the pictures on it? And did you say you knew what
colour it is?
And William! You've done a splendid job of the pictures and write up - well
done! One thing that struck a chord with me was your mention of the brakes.
That was one of the first things that impressed me when I bought him, and
they are better now with Goodridge brake hoses. What a difference they make.
Glad to see that you have marked the Mercedes as sold 'cos there is no way
that you are getting it back!!!
Having done nearly 1,000 miles in it we love it!!!
The 1961 Triumph T120 Bonneville I Bought from you has just arrived and I am
very pleased with the bike it is exactly as you described the bike plus the
photos you sent when you live 12000 miles in Perth WA you do worry but
dealing with Spinning Wheel Classic Cars was a pleasure and I would
definitely buy from you again thank you again.
The cub was delivered to me by Brian
this morning. You have a good man working for you. Thanks for the sale and
your description matched the details of the cub. I will recommend you if I
hear friends are looking for motors. Thanks again.

Thought you might like this picture of Thomas on the TY125. He loves the
bike and I think you were absolutely right about a TY80 being to small for
I have joined him in the Taverners section with me so hopefully he can take
part in the winter trials. I might even be back in the Autumn for something
bigger for myself! ( I do like that BSA ZB32 you have)
Many thanks once again for another pleasant transaction.
Received car yesterday very pleased with looks – due to the weather not had
chance to drive yet but after all the ‘deals’ we have done I know I have no
need to worry - It will be more than OK I am sure. Just one favour:
If you still have the V5C could you please copy it or better still scan it
and send it to me, I would like to keep the history file going.

delivery of the bike today; absolutely as described. Very pleased that I
could buy a machine from 12,000 miles away and not be disappointed.
Many thanks for the delivery of my Suzuki T 500, it was everything you said
it would be, and i think, even better than the pictures on your
website.Brian who delivered the bike was so helpful and knowledgeable, and
he certainly knows his stuff where motorcycles are concerned.Could not be
more pleased, and i look forward to doing business with you again soon.
Many thanks. Steve.
I was told you were a company you can Trust when looking for a classic bike
and I am delighted that that has been my experience. Its been good doing
business with you. The bike appears as described and the issues I've raised
with you have been very promptly and correctly dealt with. It should be like
that with all classic bike and car dealers but it isnt. Im happy for you to
put this email on your website with a clear endorsement of Spinning Wheel. I
shall look to my another bike or car from you and definitely recommend you
Just a quick note to say all seems OK with the 1300. I spent a couple of
hours cleaning and it does look spot on. It relay gleams i have only run it
down the road so hope all will be OK with the engine. I will let you know
tomorrow hopefully dry and can give it a good run. You do seem to get some
great bikes don't know how you do it . I will keep an eye on your site. If
you need a reference for the 400 no problem just get in touch. Will do all i
can to help out. Also big thanks to Brian hew was a star. Speak soon.
just a note to say how pleased i am with my Ducati mk3 350.
After some initial niggling faults with the bike which you kindly dealt
with. It is now a joy to ride and puts a smile on my face every time and
gets many looks wherever i go!
Many thanks to you at Spinning Wheel who dealt with me in a professional
manner and were true to their word from the offset.

Just a line to say once more how satisfied I am with the BSA deal. Brian
sorted the delivery & collection out and we had a bikers chat over coffee
putting the world to rights, good bloke.Much appreciated Adrian we'll keep in
I have become the bikes ,I am happy with the bikes.
Thanks for all.
Brian and Karin have something eat buy us and are also happy.

"It was a pleasure
dealing with Adrian from Spinning Wheel Cars. I felt that he priced and
described the car I bought accurately and the delivery service made the
entire process painless. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another car in the
future from this company."
Best Regards, Richard
Adrian - with the hope you remember
the name - Jon ******* - the 'globe man'.
I've been meaning to drop you a note for ages - the Dominion globe
eventually made its way to the wilds of Suffolk. Very many thanks for your
help and patience - it really is a great globe, and I am attaching a picture
of it, in pride of place with a few of its friends.
Thanks again - best wishes - Jon
Once again, I'm delighted with a car I have bought from you. This time
it's the 1991 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEC delivered to me by Tim a few weeks ago,
and it's turned out to be even better than the W126 S-class I had from you a
couple of years back -- and I thought that one was good!
As ever, my latest Mercedes was just as you'd described it, only better. The
bodywork is truly excellent and fully blemish-free with a quality of finish
that would be the envy of anyone with a brand-new car. The chrome is all
first-rate, save for two or three minute spots on one corner of the front
bumper. The alloy wheels are unmarked and even the tyres are nearly new.
The interior is stunning and absolutely everything electrical works as it
did when it left the factory 20 years ago. The engine is superb, as is the
gearbox, and starting from cold or hot is instantaneous.
The W126 cars are said by enthusiasts to be the last of the "true" Mercedes,
built up to a specification and not down to a price. However, despite this
quality of engineering, many of my car's contemporaries have fallen by the
wayside... but the all-round excellence of this one demonstrates that a good
car will remain a good car if properly looked after.
The quality of your stock is well known by those who have bought cars and
bikes from you over the years, but I really must congratulate you on the
quality of this particular Mercedes, on your honesty in describing it and,
as ever, the pleasantness of dealing with you.
I wouldn't dream of buying a car, especially an older one, from anyone else
without first seeing it and checking it, but I have no hesitation at
all in doing so with you. I would fully recommend you to any potential
purchasers who have not dealt with you before. Like your dad, who I've known
since the 1960s, you're one in a million. Just like your vehicles!
Many apologies for the delayed reply. Thank you very much for the photos,
and I'm pleased to say the car arrived safe and well with Brian on the
Friday. I'm delighted with the car.
Unfortunately, I've not been very lucky. I took it out for a run on the
Sunday after delivery and had a miserable time parking it up on arrival back
at my garage. Firstly it started running quite hot as I was manoeuvering it
into position, I panicked a bit and managed to scrape the wing on the garage
door frame as I reversed it in. As you can imagine I was quite upset - not
the start I would have wanted.
The overheating may be something or nothing, but I'm getting it looked at on
Monday anyway as it happens to be a personal paranoia of mine with any car.
They'll also have a look at the wing damage, which actually isn't as bad as
it sounded when it happened. Some scratches and the Saab badge ripped off is
all really. Hopefully straightforward to remedy.
In happier news, Mum & Dad came over last Sunday and we went out for a run
which was excellent. They both really love it, and it brought back loads of
good memories for them.
I am of course very pleased with the service you've provided - how could I
not be? You've been very straightforward, helpful and accommodating and I
wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone.
Having said that, I can't help have a couple of minor lingering
disappointments with the car. First is the colour matching of the new paint.
I didn't notice anything amiss when the car was delivered, but since seeing
photos (see attached) the difference in colour is pretty striking (albeit
quite light condition sensitive). Secondly, is that the reversing lights
still aren't working.
But like I say, these are minor issues compared to the excellent overall
condition of the car, and I'm looking forward to many years of happy classic
motoring with it.
Very best regards,
Finally found the time to sit down and drop you a thank you line about the
From the moment I first saw her on your web site, I thought “she” was the
car for me, however buying a car “unseen” has never
been my way.
Right from the start you were able to
provide me with the information I requested about the car and your “honesty”
was a refreshing change to normal car dealers! Never before either has a
dealer put me in contact with the previous owner to chat about the car etc.
However, having said all that, I still made the long journey from Scotland
down to your garage to “check her out”
Of course, now I can say “Why did I bother” because
your description, attention to detail and knowledge about the car, meant I
was looking at exactly what you had described and I was so proud when she
rolled off the low loader at my house the following week.
All the work I had requested (optional gauges) had been done, along with the
service, independent valuation and new MOT.
But once again, you went beyond the call of duty, by getting the small dent
removed from the passenger door (even though we had agreed I would do it
later) simply amazing!
Everywhere I drive in her, people ask “Where did you get that from?” and I
am confident to pass your web site details onto them, even comments from the
Triumph Sports Club have resulted in “What a Beauty, Best looking car I
have seen for ages”
I can’t thank you enough for making this purchase so easy and stress free
and I really am looking forward to doing business with you again soon,
although I won’t be coming in to see you next time, unless I am passing your
Spinning Wheel did a fantastic job for us on
our special day. Adrian and the team were friendly and helpful in the
run up to the day, and on the day our driver was superb. He was well
prepared (having driven the route the day before), relaxed with Charlotte
and her family and all in all a very friendly yet professional. We'd
recommend Spinning Wheel to anyone wanting a top notch wedding day chauffeur
Good morning Adrian
Early RAC Badge arrived this morning in
good fettle. Ideal for the use I have for it. Many thanks. It clearly has a
tale to tell and has had the odd addition, repair and re-plate but frankly
it is a hundred years old and part of it's rich history.
BMW R50 and Triumph Bonnie
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the team for an
excellent job you did in delivering both bikes, considering I live in the
south. Both bikes lived up to my expectations and I look forward to doing
business with you in the near future. Great job and thanks again.
I received 2
Weeks ago the boots and gloves.
Thank you – and they fit perfect.
Looking forward for next shopping action in your shop

quick email just to say thank you and it is a pleasure to do business with
yourself and hope we will do more, thank you.
I thought I would let you know that I have ridden the GSXR that I bought
from you last month and I'm really pleased, I rode at Rockingham and the
handling was awesome.
Well, I have had the car for 3 weeks now and she is running well, I used the
car for my granddaughters wedding as you will see by the attached picture.
The car has been driving very well, I use it for my daily car, and it has
been to a couple of local shows. There is a small windscreen leak in heavy
rain but is not to bad at the moment. I am looking for a cap cover for the
winter as it lives outside to keep the weather from the windows. Thank you
for the help you gave me prior to purchase.

Many thanks for the excellent deal that you did for me. The 1970 Triumph
Herald is lovely, great to drive and it is a real head turner. The condition
is brilliant and totally original which a nice touch.I came back to you
after buying my first classic MG from you last year because of the quality
of your vehicles and your total commitment to service. I had not one worry
about purchasing the Herald from you even without seeing it. I know that
your cars are always well cared for and in great condition.
I went out on the day the car arrived and could not believe the attention
that the car received, amazing. The fact that you delivered and collected
from me in Scotland is part of the reason I will always come to you first
for any classic car purchase.
I live in south west France and work commitments here meant that I could not
get over to meet you or to see the BMW R100RS motorcycle that you were
selling on your website. I must confess to being a bit nervous when I,
initially, came to deal with you. One reads constantly of scams and dodgy
practices on the web and I was aiming to spend a fair amount of money. I
need not have worried - you answered all my queries promptly and kindly took
and sent me extra photos of the bike to confirm a few items. In addition
(and totally above and beyond the call of duty) you sorted out both the
paperwork and the delivery of the bike - after keeping it for me for several
months; as I had nowhere to do so - all without charge! I am a confirmed fan
and would not hesitate to (and will) recommend your services to all and
sundry; a gem of a discovery.
I look forward to our next trade!
Thank you so much.
We wanted a luxurious looking car for our new
business La Pause Parfaite, a chauffer driven short break experience in the
South Of France, in which we will be providing, picnics in the vines,
sailing in the Med and wines tastings and all things wonderful. We found the
answer with Adrian. He instantly knew what would suit both in budget and
style.- he even installed our champagne holder for the welcome pick up at
the airport, as an extra treat for forthcoming guests.
His advise was truthful and honest, and we flew into Luton, trained to
Chesterfield and then did the long drive down to the lovely Languedoc. The
Jag purred along beautifully, we travelled in extreme comfort with Air
conditioning and CD player, and arrived home with our new acquisition. If
you want to follow the meanderings of a beautiful Jag, care of Adrian, you

arranging all the paperwork and plates hope to do business with you again
After a trip of 750 miles I arrived here in South Germany on Saturday
evening, deaf but happy.I spent the night near Brussels and had no trouble
at all with the car. The TVR made his way like a clockwork. Now I have to
prepare it for the rigid german TUV (MOT). But I think there is not too much
to do... I'm very happy with the car

Thanks for doing business today it was good to deal with someone who has
good old fashioned service at the forefront of their business- very rare

this is to say I finally put some use in the Bonnie. It always starts first

assistance you gave me throughout it for all the crossboarder intricancies.

bike. You certainly proved the point that delivery could be arranged -

to add to your web - another very pleased customer who cannot praise
Spinning Wheel Garage enough for the high level of service. In fact I would

off to France. However many thanks and I look forward perhaps someday buying
another classic from you.

The Green Norton 850 is very nice and I like it.
I must say I am very happy with the bikes that you've sold me.

Thank you for the delivery of Henry now re-named Harriet, I am so glad you
like Milly she was special to us and I was sorry to see her go, however she
was very restricted in her use as her age would"nt let her go out in the wet
or dark. Henry on the other hand ( oops Harriet ) will be used much more.
Seriously though I am pleased with the Triumph, I have just ordered some
door edging from Rimmers and a new set of carpets from Coverdale. That
should see her to show condition. Thanks for your integrity I will look
forward to doing Business with you again. Regards John and alison
Just a note again to any potential purchasers from the Spinning Wheel
Classic car collection. once again i have purchased another classic car from
Adrian which is a pleasure to drive, looks good, totally as described, thank
if you are thinking of buying from the Spinning Wheel relax, enjoy the
garage atmosphere, drive away in confidence as we have four times now!!
ps, what will i have next time?
Just a quick note to say that the 1962 Rover P4 purchased from you the other
week is a delight. I have now covered a few hundred miles and she drives
superbly. Buying a car I haven't seen from a man I don't know isn't the kind
of thing I do and in general advice is not to do it. However from the first
tentative email to you and from phone conversations I somehow felt that you
were a man I could trust and my instinct was correct. Having waited 40 years
to acquire a P4 I am delighted with the one I have. On arriving at your
premises to see her all polished up and under cover sent out the right
message. To find half a tank of petrol in her and a new car jack was the
topping, or at least I thought until, while the paperwork was being sorted
out you had the exhaust on my partners car welded up so we both had a good
journey home. I would not hesitate to purchase another car from you should
we require one in the future.
I am just back from a great 3 days away touring with the new love of my life
(don`t tell my wife) my 1973 MGB GT which I purchased from you very
In buying this classic from you I did something that after 57 years on this
earth I thought I would never do and that is buy a car without seeing it. To
say the car is everything you stated is an understatement as you did not
tell me that is drives brilliantly. Brian delivered the car and went though
everything on the car for me, well done Brian and thanks for patience. The
condition of the car is a you stated fabulous both outside and inside. I am
so glad that I chose your company to make my first classic car purchase and
I can see that it will not be the last purchase from you.I would and have
already recommended Spinning Wheels to many of my friends. Many thanks for a
fantastic service and the fact that you delivered the car all the way to
Edinburgh from Chesterfield is testament of your calibre of service.
Hello Adrian, as you promised, the Porsche 944 Owners Manual and service
books duly arrived last week. Unfortunately, due to the inclement weather, I
have only been out in the car once, however, I did a 50 miles round trip
just before Christmas and I have to say, not only does the Porsche look
superb, it drives just as well. Most people who see the car simply don’t
believe that it is original and not the subject of a multi thousand pounds
restoration. I now have a list of friends ( including several ladies I am
glad to say), waiting for a drive, roll on Spring!Needless to say, I am
delighted with my purchase, it is very refreshing in this day and age to
deal with someone who has, what are now considered old fashioned virtues
such as honesty and integrity, I would not hesitate to recommend you to
anyone wishing to purchase a Classic Car in total confidence, indeed, I will
be looking for a Convertible myself from you later this year.
Thanks’ once again and Kind regards,
Sorry we didn't get chance to speak again yesterday, just to say how both of
us like the little Mini and once again a pleasure to do business! Tim was
very helpful and everything went off fine.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK
YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP WITH THE DEAL WE HAVE DONE FOR THE TRIUMPH DOLOMITE. I
HAVE NEVER MET A CAR DEALER THAT IS SO HONEST AND TRUE TO HIS WORD, WHEN I
BOUGHT THE FORD CORTINA OFF YOU I WAS OVER THE MOON AND I ENJOYED MANY
MONTHS WITH HIM. BUT AS I WAS WANTING A DOLOMITE AND YOU GOT ONE IN STOCK I
WAS TEMPTED TO BUY IT AND TRADE IN MY CORTINA FOR IT, IT TOOK ME SOME WEEKS
TO DECIDE TO TAKE THE PLUNGE, BUT I AM OVER THE MOON THAT I DID THE TRIUMPH
HAS FAR EXCEEDED ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS, BEEN AS I HAD NEVER SEEN THE CAR IN
THE FLESH AND AS WE DID THE DEAL OVER THE PHONE I WAS PUTTING ALL MY TRUST
IN YOU TO LOOK AFTER ME WITH A CAR THAT WAS AS GOOD AS THE CORTINA,BUT WHEN
THE CAR WAS DELIVERED I WAS AMAZED TO SEE BEFORE ME A CAR THAT WAS INDEED
BETTER THAN I COULD HAVE EVER IMAGINED,. PLEASE FIND ENCLOSED A PICTURE OF
THE DOLOMITE SPORTING HIS NEW MINILIGHT WHEELS.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH

I’m a fully qualified motor vehicle engineer (cars, bikes and trucks). This
is the second motorcycle I have purchased from Adrian at Spinning Wheel
Classics. I have been delighted with each deal and was impressed on both
occasions with the quality of the bikes, professionalism, knowledge and
friendliness of Adrian and his team.
If you are interested in Classic Cars or Motorcycles, then the Spinning
Wheel website should be on your 'favourites' list as Adrian’s
stock is always very interesting and changing on a regular basis (almost
Keep up the good work Adrian and thanks again for your help in purchasing
the two bikes. I look forward to doing some more business with you in the
Hi Adrian...........just a quick email to say how well the Capri 2.8i drove
on my 300 mile journey home..it never missed a beat and turned a few heads
as well...!!!! I must say Adrian i do appreciate you giving me the
opportunity to purchase the car in view of the huge interest you had in the
vehicle...and thank you for that..!! As mentioned if i ever am tempted to
sell the Capri i will let you have it back on SOR so as hopefully you will
earn some more out of it 2nd time around..cheers and all the best John
Many thanks for the way you assisted me with the recent
purchase of the MGB. It is truly an excellent example of a classic car and
your professional manner made it easy to decide to go ahead with the sale
and know that I could trust you in the future to look after the car. I think
it is important that when you are buying a classic car you have all the fact
and you were clearly open and honest throughout. Your recommendations for
insurance proved to be very useful and got me a brilliant deal, and
arranging the delivery of the car to my home by a very nice man (Tim Hunt)
completed a very special experience.
Just a quick note to say a big thank you for all the help and assistance
with my recent purchase it was a pleasure to deal with you and the team from
the first visits when I was like a child in a toy shop looking round all the
toys you and you team were always happy to chat a discuss my requirements
and advise accordingly. My boys and Father were thrilled when you
quite happily dedicated all Saturday morning to letting us test drive the MG
with you. It didn’t stop there your after sales service was just as
good as the pre sales service which is like a breath of fresh air in this
country which is sadly lacking in customer service at times. I run my
own business we drive our success through offering great service and value
and its good to see we aren’t on our own.
This is just a quick note to say thank you very
much for all you assistance in the purchase of my Mini.
The car drove like a dream all the way to the boat and home. It was
even better than I had anticipated it to be.
If you ever get a MKI Mini Cooper or S give me a shout as I would have no
hesitation in doing business with you in the future.
Just to let you know that I have just received the V5C and MOT for the MGV8
as you promised. I would like to thank you for your exceptionally good
service from the start to the finish of this transaction. It is not without
some trepidation that I embarked on spending quite a sum of money on a car
that I had never seen, from a man that I had never met, 300 miles away.
After years of buying smart German cars from smart suited salesmen who never
quite measure up to the promise, it has been a pleasure to deal with a
business that delivered just what it promised. The vehicle was delivered at
the time you said, it was in the condition you said, the history file was as
complete as you said, and at a fair price, I don’t think anyone can ask much
more! I would not hesitate in recommending you to anyone who feels a little
nervous about buying “unseen” In fact I already have, so please let me know
if you obtain an MGB GT V8 I have a likely purchaser.
Many thanks for the delivery of the 1936 Standard Light 10. It was good to
meet Brian. He was very helpful.
The car runs well and even my wife, who thinks i am truly mad, likes it and
enjoyed her first run in it.
I shouldn't call the car an 'it'. ! She is definitely feminine and we have
called her Georgina!
It was indeed good to do business with you.
MGC i recently bought from you is to date the "Best" classic i have owned,
it looks and drives superb,I'm off to Tatton Park classic car show this
weekend to display it.
Thanks again for the great service,
short note to say what a pleasure it was to do business with you from start
to finish ,the bike (250ducati ) was perfect better than I had hoped thank
you for your help again and hope and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again from
Just to let you know the XR3i is still going strong (see photo taken at
Notts classic show 7th may). We have enjoyed runs to shows and classic
racing including Cadwell, this a quick fun car on twisty B roads!. Although
one of your cheaper classics you presented the car in immaculate order, you
offer a friendly, down to earth honest service, after 11 months we have had
no faults or problems with the escort. We would certainly buy from you
Thanks C and M.
Thank you for
finding my dream car. The "new" one is not only my ideal colour and trim
combination, but it's as near perfection as you're realistically likely to
get this side of a concours example, which would cost considerably more. So,
similar engine, more responsive gearbox, silent suspension, positive,
play-free steering; it all adds up to driving with a smile. I've been in
some newer Jags, and they can't quite match this sublime combination of
whisper-quiet performance, comfort, roadholding and handling, and other
marques are still nowhere near, nearl thirty years on. Why Jaguar have spent
all that development money over the past years, when all they had to do was
equip the engine with a 4-valve head (Walkinshaw did one), a modern ECU and
injection system, give it a modern gearbox and pay more attention to
corrosion resistance, is quite beyond me. So it's off back to Friuli with a
smile on my face, and I'll start looking for a nice Fiat 500 for you, and
Since picking up my MGB from you last week, it has lived up to all your
promises and assurances about the car. I am delighted with the whole
experience and so pleased to at last be driving an MGB.
As you know being my first classic car I had my concerns about making sure I
got things right and did not want to buy something unsuitable for my needs.
Your help in guiding me towards the right motor was very appreciated and
for that I extremely greatful. In this day and age it is rare to find a
business with such a high level of integrity and honesty, especially in the
motor trade. You are what all businesses should be targeting to achieve,
customer and dealer satisfaction so that both sides enjoy the experience and
benefit. I will have no hesitation in recommending you to other potential
new comers to classic cars.
Thank you again Adrian, I will certainly be back, but it will have to be MGB
A quick email to let you know that the Rover 3500S performed impeccably all
the way to Edinburgh. I wish the same could be said for my Vectra which
broke down on the A1 south of Wetherby and went home on the back of a
breakdown truck! Modern cars......
I picked up the usual little foibles that classic cars suffer from but
nothing I wasn’t expecting and certainly nothing that will cause my any
great concern. Things like a flickering ‘Brake’ light which is common and
probably a result of the car having the longest run it’s had for a while.
The most bizarre being the front foglight which comes on when you press the
brake pedal. I suspect the other would come on too but the bulb has blown.
The fog-light wiring will be a job for me one weekend soon as when you select
foglights on the switch, all the lights go out and the foglights don’t come
Anyway, like I said apart from that it was impeccable. It was a pleasure
doing business with you.
Adrian, just a few words to say thanks for the swift and pleasant way you
dealt with the sale and delivery of the DRK. I'm delighted with the
little car and am pleased with the way it handles and performs. It was good
to meet up with Tim and his family and have some input about the vehicles
previous history, very satisfactory altogether.
I'm a happy customer
Kind regards, Mark
Thank you for everything on Friday. The MGA lives up fully to my
expectations (and more) and I have had a grin on my face when travelling the
road to Hull and then criss-crossing the Netherlands at the week-end. I have
completed 600 miles in her since Friday and she has not missed a beat. Her
water temperature and oil pressure are constant. She is full of character.
She built up quite a fan club on the car deck of the ferry and seems to
raise a smile most places she goes. I am submitting a testimonial on your
website which I hope you will find useful for publication on the site.
With thanks and kind regards,
Hector ( Netherlands)
What I can honestly say with no reservations at all is: "thank you". I know
it's not much but thanks for the way the trans-national purchase of the 1976
Ossa 250 cc Enduro has been arranged.
The purchase went rather quickly and so did the delivery. It was well worth
it. I am absolutely delighted with it !!!
Tiger Cub / Spinning Wheel
Adrian, I just want to say thank you for the excellent service you
have given me on the purchase of the motorcycle. The machine is
absolutly gorgeous and will play an important part of the
collection.I will thoroughly recommend Spinning Wheel to anyone who
is looking for a high standard of machine and service. Many thanks.
Just to let you know that we are really happy with the Spitfire. It's
exactly as you said it would be and we're trying to get it out between the
showers as the weather has been terrible but we have managed to put up a few
miles on it and are delighted with it. Thanks again. Dave B*****
Hi many thanks for the bike delivery the bike was just as described we are
extremely please and had an enjoyable chat shame were not closer could have
broke out the beers and gone on for hours.
Dad cant wait to get out on it now think im gona have to chain it down and
mums trying like mad to squeeze into her leather jeans ...not pretty...
drive back to Newthorpe where she is now safely garaged. Very impressed with
the overdrive for such an "old lady", very smooth indeed. No problem now
with the gear changing but had to remind myself to push the brakes harder
due to years of power assisted driving.
I now have the classic I've been searching for over the last 2 yrs and was
very pleased to be able to draw on your experience. I feel I've been dealt
with honestly and would recommend you to anyone. Above all I feel I can
discuss any future maintenance issues with you where my own knowledge is
I hope you wont mind me dropping by from time to time just to see what you
have in stock and a chat, if you have the time. You look good on the video
I am very content with the "superb" motor bike. Still thank you with the
boys who came to Paris. Or are you on my command for the griffith?
Hi just to thank you and
brian for the great job on the mga
best regards, Richard
Good to see you on
Saturday and to be relieved of the readies for the Mini. It's an absolute
dream to drive.
Sallyann had a grin all over her face on the way home. I still recognised
her though, I've seen her grin once before....Thanks again,Spen.
Just a note to say how happy I am with the BSA A65 Lightning Clubmans, it
really is a stunning looking bike, its just a pity I didn’t have it earlier
to enjoy the fantastic summer we had up here this year. It’s very much the
case if the rest of the UK has a poor summer we have a good one!!! The bike
itself after a number of runs and a few adjustments, which my brother in law
has done (he is a keen biker and runs his own garage), is really starting to
run well, with hardly a crack or bang at all now after you start her from
cold. I thought I should to say you were a pleasure to deal with, with a
very relaxed and friendly style and if my wife allows it, you will
definitely be one off the first classic dealer’s that I look up for any
Just a brief note to stay in touch and mark
the occasion that it is actually a year ago today (can you believe it?) that
I travelled up to "Spinning Wheel" to meet you and view the Zephyr and, of
course, agree its purchase. The car has given me immense pleasure of
ownership and it is still exiting just to turn the key and start the engine
- quite apart from the fun of driving it. Many thanks for your help in
curing the problem I encountered in the first few weeks. It has covered over
1200 miles this year and been to three shows - picking up a trophy for "best
convertible" on its first outing (which was Ford Mk2 owners club).I
still regularly visit your web-site to see and read with great interest
about the different models you have available. Please remember me to Brian,

brief note to say that
the Hillman is performing
brilliantly. Once again you have supplied a car that is just what was
lovely, lovely motor
It has solved the problem I
was having with my arthritic knee, I took it on a couple of runs last week

first time and around 60 the second

I will take it to see my
cousin in a week or so, she ran Minx’s for years and will, I am sure, be
delighted to see one in such lovely order.
just to let you know after the minor breakdown , which was soon
rectified, the Dommie performed superbly all the way home. I was impressed
with its ride and performance...cruising happily between 50 and 70....oil
tight too.. after the 220 mile run...on £20 worth of fuel... The engine has
lots of torque and i suspect a SS cam maybe inside due to the lively mid to
top end performance. I got plenty of looks from passing modern bikers and
car drivers alike. I hope you are happy with the Datsun...and the " sidearm
"......!! Look forward to collecting the Ducati in due course.....
Just a note to
say thanks for your help purchasing the mini clubman. I got her home ok
Saturday night and is now safely garaged. She is totally as described and i
am very happy with her. As discussed on Saturday over the phone, you might
keep a look out for a 2000 mini cooper or 2001 mini cooper 500 with very
small miles on it, preferably green or blue, i would be interested in
purchasing. You might let me know if you do.
again, Kind Regards,
Just to let you
know that I have collected the Scitsu/Triumph from Calgary, Alberta
yesterday. Minus 44 an snowstorms on 4 hour drive back home! No problems
with Customs or Paperwork...well done.Adrian. I would like to give you my
grateful thanks, the Scitsu is exactly as per our conversation and your
website. It is very re-assuring to find a straightforward, honest
transaction nowadays, particularly when you are dealing with somebody the
other side of the World. It can be a little worrying! If you wish to use
this E.mail as a testimonial or put any potential customer in touch with me,
please do so. It was, and I am sure will remain so, a pleasure to do
business with you. The bike is beautiful, can hardly wait for Spring!
Having enjoyed a good relationship with you
since the early 90s, initially when I wrote about some of your fine cars
from time to time in classic car magazines, I am now writing to you as a
very satisfied customer. I have now bought two cars from you "over the
phone", the latest one being my fabulous Mercedes-Benz 420SE, and I would
cheerfully commend you to anyone, like myself, who lives a very long
distance from you and therefore cannot easily inspect a proposed purchase.
The Mercedes is precisely as described by
you, both on your website and in telephone conversations. In 50 years of
buying cars I have only ever encountered one other specialist dealer in whom
I could place such trust. This was especially significant with the 420SE
because it was a model I knew very little about, and one of the most
sophisticated and complifcated cars of its period, meaning that it was a car
requiring particular caution when purchasing.
It is now three weeks since I drove it home
to Scotland, leaving Chesterfield just an hour after seeing it for the first
time, and it is everything I had hoped it would be. One or two fellow
enthusiasts have commented that I must be barking mad to have committed to
buying such a car without seeing it, yet I can honestly say I did so without
any qualms, and would recommend the same course of action to others in the
The only problem has been the non-operational
air conditioning, which you know about, and which I'm sure will be rectified
by having it re-gassed. I will keep you informed in this respect.
Once again, thank you for the outstanding
quality of your motor cars, your total honesty, your plain-speaking (well
you are a native of Derbyshire!) and your friendliness. Spinning Wheel
really is a business to be proud of.
Best wishes, Martin
Just a few lines to say thanks for yet another spot-on car. It arrived, as
promised, delivered by Brian and after giving it a good "going over" I have
to say I am, once again, delighted. How nice in this day of shifty "Arthur
Daley" merchants to find and be able to deal with a no flim-flam, no frills
and sharp suits, just honest above-board straight people like you and your
company. As Brian said on his departure, you'll probably see us again in
another 18 months to do another deal, but we'll pop in to say "hello" when
we're in the area and I'll have no hesitation in passing on my
recommendations. Please give my regards to your Mum, Dad, Brian and the rest
of the crew.
Take care and keep well, Gerald and Judith.
Hi Adrian - just a quick email to thank you for the excellent and
friendly service (as usual) and car! I am really pleased. As promised I
enclose a couple of pics taken at the wedding fayre this weekend - where she
certainly created a stir and got some bookings....
All the best for now... Geoff
Just to let you know that we are really
happy with the Spitfire. It's
exactly as you said it would be and we're trying to get it out between
showers as the weather has been terrible but we have managed to put up a
miles on it and are delighted with it.
Thanks again, Dave Byrnes

As you will know we have purchased 3 cars from you over the past
5 years, one classic, one near classic and one modern day
We travel from the Lancashire / Merseyside area to deal with you
because we know that we will get the best all round honest deal
for all types of vehicles. Your service from arriving at your
Chesterfield site is second to none and
your honesty, understanding and
help make us feel we are dealing with a personal friend not a
Motor Dealer. We will of course always recommend “Spinning
Wheel” to all our classic car contacts which as you know are
many, especially as we organise the annual Coast to Coast
Classic Car Run and I (Ronn) am a registered Clerk of the Course
for the MSA (Motor Sports Association)
Once again a beautiful car exactly as you
described, What a pleasure it is to do business with you and
your colleagues, What a pleasure it was to meet your father such
a nice man also Brian it must be nice for you to have such
people working with you knowing that they are going to promote
your business with there excellent manner when meeting
customers, I have not seen my brother Ted so excited since we
were children at xmas i think xmas and birthday came all at
once. I hope you found the M G as described and were not
dissapointed. The only fault i can see with Jaguar is that it is
my brothers and not mine,My day will come and when it does i
will be sure to come to you, and i would recomend that anyone
thinking of purchasing a classic vehicle contact you they wont
be dissapointed. Thanks again on behalf of Ted and myself
and look forward to the time when i purchase my next car from
I would just like to say what a pleasure it has been to do business with
you again in the last couple of days. Over the last 15 years or so
I have been backwards and forwards to Spinning Wheel and sampled a
large range of your stock. In every case the car has been as
described and has not disappointed, and if there have been any small
issues you have always explained them in advance of the sale. I
feel lucky to have found such a genuinely nice family business, who
are interested in their customers and their families. Our recent
transaction regarding the Morris Minor Convertible took place over
the phone and we agreed a deal based on your description. The car
duly arrived, on time, on Monday evening and I took the opportunity
to get the hood down and try it as soon as possible. Once again the
car has been as described – a lovely little car. I will enjoy
driving it – and when the time comes to change again you know I will
be back at the door.
Best wishes, Alistair”
Just to let you know we have arrived back in Ireland safe and sound.
Thanks for everything I am really enjoying the car.
I may even be back to you within the year for another (I'm rapidly
getting hooked on the idea of an '80's SL) !
It was a wonderfully smooth transaction thanks to your refreshingly
detailed and honest description of the car.
I can honesty say that I would highly recommend you to buyers from
Ireland. With the early morning flight and afternoon sailing from
Holyhead we were back in Ireland for 6pm on the same day, having had
the benefit of a nice cruise across north Wales to familiarise
ourselves with the car.

Further to our telephone conversation, we must record our
delight and pleasure with regard to the Mini Traveller. Firstly,
your delivery driver, Brian, was most charming and helpful and a great
ambassador for you and your company and explained in great detail all
the things and replacement parts that were done to the car. The
car itself, which we haven't yet driven but have no reason to believe
that it will not be to our expectations, is delightful and everything
that you said it was - the condition report, the paintwork, the
interior, the brightwork, the upholstery and general fabric of the car,
not to mention the video, can only be described as first class. We
feel the Mini we received is just as excellent as the Mini we parted
with and, considering they are some 30 years apart in age, this says a
lot for the way you described the Traveller. We are both delighted
and looking forward to taking it to Poole Quay Mini Night next Friday
and a Classic Car Show the same weekend. Should you have any
doubting Thomases buying a car on the same basis as ourselves then show
them this e-mail to put their minds at rest.
From two very satisfied customers

I want to say thanks
to you for all your honesty, kindness, help and friendship when we were
dealing with you for our two cars the Austin 1300 GT and the Riley 1.5,
which we are now enjoying very much. Your standard of business is very high
and it is always service with a smile, which is very encouraging to your
customers. As we are now good friends, I would certainly have no hesitation
in dealing with you again, and I look forward to doing so again in the
future, and I will recommend you to all my colleagues in the old vehicle
movement in Northern Ireland, and try to get you more customers and
sales. Thanks again for all your assistance which was much appreciated by us
Best Wishes and
Regards and every success to you and your business in the future.

Sorry to have taken longer to
contact you than I intended, am spending every spare minute looking for
excuses to go out in ' matilda'! I have to say the whole experience of
buying a classic car from you was simplicity itself - despite not being able
to see her being up here in Edinburgh. Having never done anything like that
before I was quite nervous making the initial contact. After speaking to
you for only a few minutes it was clear that everything about the way you
conduct your business was completely transparent and extremely
professional. I instantly felt at ease and trusted you. Nothing was too
much trouble, from sending numerous photos from all angles, detailed history
that showed complete knowledge of previous owners, not to mention your
passion for the car being infectious! On top of all of that you and Brian
organised the delivery of 'matilda' all the way to Scotland in the most
horrendous weather. You stated that if she was not as described you
would take her back as I hadnt seen her prior to delivery. True to form
Brian did not leave until he was sure we were completely happy with every
aspect of the car. Suffice to say she was even more beautiful than
described - everyone should have one and I couldnt recommend you highly
enough to everyone who has admired her. Thank you for making a dream come
