Sommer Motorradtechnik produces the Sommer
Diesel 462. It is powered by Bavarian Hatz Diesel. The Sommer-diesel
motorcycle is assembled by hand in small batches in Eppstein. Some
components of the wheels and gears supplied by Royal Enfield. This
is an original 1967 500cc Bullet which has been converted to the
Hatz diesel motor. It has also had the roller bearing crank
conversion undertaken . Latterly belonging to an eccentric but
lovely owner who has completed some modification such as the large
capacity touring fuel tank, A new piston and rings were fitted in
2015 along with a modified gear selector plate and a new clutch. All
supporting invoices supplied. It claims 100 MPG at 40 MPH , Circa
2000 miles believed correct. Always draws a crowd, great condition.
