1937 New Imperial Model 23 150cc Fourstroke Lightweight
Presented in restored
condition with supporting record of this and photographs. Beautiful
condition. The dynamo has recently been refurbished and a new
battery fitted. It starts easily and appears to run extremely well.
Supplied with the original registration number, Buff log book, old
tax discs and petrol coupons, along with service manuals. The
Model 23 was based on an unconventional prototype, first seen in
1932, which carried its valve gear behind the cylinder. The
production Model 23 was more conventional, unit construction of the
engine/gearbox, geared primary drive and coil ignition. Qualifying
for a reduced rate of road tax for up-to-150cc machines, the Model
23 was a big success for New Imperial and continued in production
until 1940. Lovely little bike. Delivery and shipping arranged.
