1984 Reliant Tempest
It is not a kit car but a rebodied Reliant
were built initially as trials cars and did compete very
successfully. 51 were built and this is presumably No.14? John Box
designed the Tempest sports two-seater, ex chief engineer at TVR and
was subsequently a consultant to Reliant. I am delighted to present
this lovely little Roadster, which is in superb condition. Coming
from a private individual in Derbyshire this Tempest has been
superbly maintained with a new battery fitted, refurbished hood, new
Makralon sidescreens (unbreakable) and both bottom ball joints on
the front suspension have been replaced. I was surprised how good
the finish was on the Tempest and even more surprised how well
it drives. The 850cc motor pulls very well and the gearbox is easy
to use. Its light and nippy, an alloy and fiberglass body finished
in lovely gloss black complemented by excellent chrome wire wheels.
