1975 Ducati 250cc Desmo MK3
UK example registered 1/2/1975, correct engine to frame. 5 former
keepers, 376 km. Original bike, other than in 2011 the engine was
stripped and the bike recommissioned by Ducati specialist, Derek
Blackie. Other than some clearances being set, new O rings, fork
seals replaced and new battery, nothing was required (documented).
The "Desmo" has become an icon, developed through racing, the first
Desmotronic engines came out in 1969. Single overhead cam with bevel
gear drive, 9.7.1 compression ration, Delorto VHB 29 Carburetor and
5 speed gearbox. 1973 saw the classic yellow and black colour scheme
of its big brother and by 1974 it gained Ceriani front forks and a
single Brembo disk brake. Production ended in 1974. I am delighted
to offer this classic Ducati in such an exceptional condition.
Recently fitted with a new battery and two new Dunlop K82 tyres. MOT
not required but we are happy to MOT the Ducati if required. Part of
a large private Ducati collection until recently. Comes with: V5C,
HPi certificate (Clear), supporting history file and spare keys.
