1965 Triumph Tiger Cub TR20

Frame number TR2095234, road registerd. 1959 saw Tiger Cub-mounted Roy Peplow’s landmark victory in the Scottish Six Days Trial, lightweights were not only competitive but also capable of winning major events. Brainchild of works rider Jim Alves, the trials version of the Tiger Cub had debuted in 1957. After much development it became the TR20 in 1962, until the Cub range was dropped by BSA-Triumph in 1967. Works riders and clubman gaining many success on this extremely popular lightweight four stroke trials machine. We have the original solid mounted iron foot pegs, correct factory kinked frame for high level silencer, small seat, teardrop trials type petrol tank, original "Dunlop" chromed steel wheel rims, bash plate, yolk mounted speed, Volks air filter, correct brakes and trials front folks. This example with its original ground clearance and factory fittings, I doubt would be competitive in today's Pre 65 trials world, but great for a ride round. Its great to see an untouched period Tiger Cub which would grace any collection. The benefit of being road registered makes it ideal for a gentle run round. Delivery arranged.
